History of the Aviation Safety Awards
In 2017, Litson & Associates introduced the Aviation Safety Award (ASA), which was designed to identify and reward airlines and non-scheduled aircraft operators worldwide, who consistently achieve higher-than-average Standards of safety in flight and maintenance operations. In recent years, the scope of the ASAs was extended to airfields, RPAS operators and offshore helidecks.
In 2017, Litson and Associates identified the need to acknowledge aircraft operators who have maintained superior Standards of Safety in all aspects of their operations for several consecutive years. The L&A Aviation Safety Award Programme was created as a heartfelt ‘Thank you’ to Aircraft Operators, Aircraft Maintenance Organisations (AMOs), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Airfield, Helideck and Helipad operators who demonstrate dedication to Continuous Improvement in pursuit of Operational Excellence.
With the ASA awards programme, Litson aims to enhance and promote a sustainable Safety Culture within an organisation and ultimately ensure the sky remains the Safest place on earth…
Congratulations to the 2025 Litson and Associates Aviation Safety Awardees:
L&A is proud to introduce Bronze-level status to the ASA programme. Bronze serves as the initial level of the award system. Entry to the programme is achieved by an Operator when successfully completing a comprehensive L&A Aviation Safety Review (ASR), satisfying all the requirements and closing all findings within the required timeframe.
Bronze is succeeded by Silver, Gold and Diamond level status. Each consecutive level is achieved by Operators who constantly achieve and maintain a superior level of Safety in all aspects of their operation.
The Litson & Associates Aviation Safety Award Programme stands as a testament to our commitment to fostering a safer global aviation environment. By providing a structured pathway for recognition and Continuous Improvement, the ASA Programme empowers operators to not only meet but exceed safety expectations.

2023/2024 ASA Awards
A Bronze Award is given to Operators to acknowledge a successfully completed Operational Review, with the first level of the Aviation Safety Award being a Silver Award, followed by Gold and Diamond levels.
